The Lodge at Mad River, VT
The lodge is situated at Mad River Glen and is a short walk to the lifts (including the famed single chair). The slopes of Sugarbush Resort are just a short drive away (for a change of pace or if you ride). It's an hour from either Stowe or Killington/Pico and a bit further to the southern Vermont areas. For those into cross-country skiing, there are several Nordic ski areas nearby, and of course snow-shoeing right from the doorstep,

The 40-person lodge has 10 bedrooms each with ensuite toilet and shower, a spacious living room with a fireplace and cathedral ceiling, and a modern kitchen and dining room. During the ski season, a chef is sometimes provided at modest cost to members and guests.

The lodge provides an excellent base for a wide range of activities year-round, including hiking, biking, swimming, golf and just relaxing in an ideal mountain location.
Club member David Nelson took the photos of the lodge interior in the gallery above. If you have never been there, these will give you a good idea of what it is like. Imagine this, though, filled with a crowd of happy, hungry skiers! We eat our meals here, and sometimes when there is a party, the tables and benches are folded and stacked. Notice, in the far corner on the wall, our ski tuning foldout station.

COVID PROTOCOL (Updated May 2022)
In light of the current/latest position on Covid-19, the Board of Directors has revised the testing requirement in order to maintain safety for all users of the Lodge.

-
All people staying at the lodge must have a negative result for a COVID self test (i.e., rapid antigen test) taken no more than 48 hours prior to arrival.
-
This applies whether you are vaccinated or unvaccinated
-
This will be “Honor System” based. No certification or documentation of the test result is required, but anyone staying at the lodge must honestly state that they are compliant with the rule.
-
As always, anyone who is sick or not feeling well must not come to the lodge, even if their test result is negative.
-
The Board of Directors will continue to monitor the spread of Covid-19 and its variants and will review and update the rules if necessary.
-
Credit for a last minute cancellation at the Lodge due to illness will be given.

Mad River Glen, "2023 Season Wrap-up"
There's a great video which sums up the spirit at Mad River, with some great views of the single lift. We're still working out how to share it here, but in the meantime follow the link and watch it on their viewer.
